Hello Dolores. I write to you from Copenhagen. Your grandfather Emil Bernhard Ludvig Johannsen and my great grandfather Einer Vilhelm Christian Johannsen are full brothers. Your mother and my grandfather are cousins.
In 1909 Emil Johannsen immigrated to USA with his wife and two children Ebba Eline (your mother) and Bernhard Holger. Emil visited his family in Denmark in 1920. Your mother Ebba did the same in the late 1960s. My aunt Hanne Foltved (born Johannsen) visited your family in USA in the late 1960s. Maybe you remember?
Emil and Einer Johannsen married there women the same day in the same church (Sankt Jakobs kirke) in Copenhagen.
